Jared Leger Chief Executive Officer Managing Partner
|
Jared Leger has broad experience with healthcare services transactions, start-up, transitions, and ongoing management. Jared started his healthcare career as a licensed Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. Jared quickly moved into the business side of healthcare with a successful career in the medical-device industry, growing a regional territory and developing physician relationships.
Jared
has always enjoyed the business side of healthcare. This has allowed
him to focus on developing ancillary income for physicians as well
as Ambulatory Surgery Centers (ASCs) and ASC management. Jared holds
a Registered Nurse license and is CASC certified. This has allowed
Jared to fully understand both the clinical and business aspects of
healthcare management. |

| R. Bruce Johnson Vice President of Development
|
Bruce Johnson's experience in the HC field is broad and spans twenty- plus (20+) years, twelve (12) of which are in the Ambulatory Services field. In the 1990s, Bruce developed the physical therapy division of HealthSouth in Austin, Texas and was promoted quickly to oversee the development of HealthSouth’s Diagnostic and Surgery Divisions of Central Texas. In 2002, Bruce was promoted to focus exclusively on its ASC division and had responsibility in Texas, New Mexico, Louisianna, and Arizona for Surgery Development. While with Surgical Care Affiliates, Bruce successfully re-syndicated ASCs in Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Bruce has an impressive track record and is responsible for ASC
syndications, re-syndications, surgeon retention, and surgeon
recruitment. |

Marcena Sorrels, CPA, CMPE Chief Financial Officer
|
Marcena Sorrels is a Certified Public Accountant with a long history in healthcare administration. Having started in public accounting, she found she had an affinity for working with physician clients. She moved early in her career to manage a large specialty group of physicians and from there worked in a number of physician specialties, large and small. She not only managed their practices, but took the reins in the development of surgery centers and other ancillary services. Through years of working with healthcare providers, Marcena has developed a knack for communicating financial information in ways that are meaningful and understandable to her audience. In addition, her managerial experience in healthcare settings has given her a unique education in organizational matters, business operations and team performance. Marcena is a Certified Medical Practice Executive, as designated by Medical Group Managers Association. Marcena’s functions with Arise vary from operational management of surgery centers and hospitals, to the intricacies of reporting financial performance, both historical and projected. Her role is largely to provide timely and useful information, through analysis of situations and data, in support of decision makers at all levels. Having lived in Austin for almost 30 years, Marcena is married, has a daughter and son, and two grandchildren. Marcena likes to spend her free time riding her bike, gardening and traveling to cooler climates. |

| Robert Wills, MD Chief Medical Officer |
Dr. Wills graduated from the University of Texas with a BS,and then
attended Southwestern Medical School where he received a medical
degree. He completed a three-year surgical residency at Parkland
Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and a residency in anesthesiology with
Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington, a program
which is recognized widely for pain management training and regional
anesthesia. |

| Dr. Brannon Frank, MD Principal
|
Dr. Brannon Frank has experience in the development of surgery center start-ups and ASC transactions involving third party acquisition. His ASC experience includes the syndication of new ASC’s and re-syndication of existing ASC’s. More recently, Dr. Frank has been involved in the development of two new surgery center projects through Arise Healthcare. He also is involved with medical office real estate acquisition, development, and transaction. Dr. Frank is Board certified in both Interventional Pain Management and Anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology. He received his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M and his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX. In Atlanta, GA, Dr. Frank trained at the prestigious Emory University. His training at Emory included a fellowship in Interventional Pain Management and a residency in Anesthesiology. Dr. Frank currently serves as the Medical Director of both Austin Pain Associates and Stonegate Surgery Center and served as the President of the Austin Pain Society in 2010. He continues to practice medicine at Austin Pain Associates (www.austinpainassociates.com). In addition to his clinical duties, Dr. Frank enjoys being involved in business transactions and developing and managing new ancillary services for pain management practices.
